Now this is cool! A great idea for an aggregator – integrate directly with IE.

Life In Toronto #2

May 16, 2004

Spring has well and truely arrived in Toronto – and not a moment too soon! It is incredible how warm weather can change the atmosphere of a city. The trees are full of green leaves, the flowers are out and people can freely walk the streets without needing a (heavy) jacket and gloves.

The last few weeks have been busy, with some familiar faces travelling to Toronto for work. Lyndall flew across from London for a week-long conference and we were able to hang out with her a few times which was great. It seems like such a long time since we last saw her. It was good for Sharon and her to catch up on all the gossip. Hal came across from Vancouver (also for work) and stayed at our place for a night and we were able to go out for beers on the Friday night which was fun.

Sharon and I have been to a real mix of restaurants over the last few weeks – some good and others not so good. Bar Italia on College St is a great venue for pasta and wine and has a good atmosphere. Spring Roll on Front St E is billed as an “Asian Fusion” restaurant, but tries to hard to cover too many different types of Asian cuisine and comes up short. The wonderful Cafe de Jeuneur on King St E (we subjected both Lyndall and Hal to this cafe) is a great coffee and breakfast venue. We were told that Babur on Queen St W is one of the best Indian restaurants in TO – think again, it ain’t no Ramas.

More news from Chicago next week!

Free Gmail Invite

May 3, 2004

Anyone want a free gmail invite?

Just kidding, I don’t have any. I thought it would be interesting to see how many people get sucked into my site if I posted on the topic :)

But seriously folks, I don’t know what all the fuss is about. I’m sure there will enough gmail for everyone once the site gets out of beta (don’t we all have enough email accounts as it is?).

As for these deluded people
