Like most things in American culture, Halloween has been completely over-commercialized to the point the any semblance of the original Pagan tradition is long forgotten. It amazes me the amount of money and time people invest in costumes, decorations and other Halloween related paraphernalia. The funniest thing Sharon and I have seen was a guy at our gym growing a beard for the last 3 months just so he could look like Wolverine from X-Men – crazy!

this post should be titled ‘hollow eve’… heard on the news the other day that americans are spending $3 billion this year on halloween. the ‘holiday’ as they call it is second only to christmas. bloody silly really.
